Live Music with Tennessee Tuckness and Gary Wayne

Established singer/songwriter Tennessee Tuckness began her musical journey at fourteen years of age when her mother bought her a 1952 Martin guitar. Over a career that started in the mid-eighties, she has shared the stage with many performers, including Edie Brickell, Sarah Hickman, and Brave Combo, and learned about the business side of music from legends such as Joe Walsh.

Tennessee released her debut CD, I Am Not Forsaken, in 1998, after which Transition Music signed her original single "We Fly," a 1999 release that received excellent reviews and substantial airplay. In December 2001, Tennessee released her follow-up CD, Project Little Feat, which included her own originals and renditions of Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey" and Led Zepplin's "Goin To California," highlighting her range and musical diversity. “This Heart of Mine,” another of Tennessee’s original songs, was signed to digital distribution and played on an episode of the television series Friday Night Lights. Tennessee is currently at work on a fifth CD release that includes her latest singles, "Bringer of Good News" and "Matters to You," accompanied by Tim Crouch and Wish.

The Amarillo Globe News in Tennessee's hometown of Amarillo, Texas, has honored her as Best Female Vocalist of the year for ten years in a row, making her one of only a few Amarillo artists to be inducted into the Globe News Hall of Fame.
